OVEN SAFETY SWITCH ODLS 01

ODLS-01 is a motorized safety door lock mechanism for ovens with pyrolytic cleaning capabilities that ensures the door remains locked throughout the program and reports the door status to the main board.

ODLS-01 is an oven door locking mechanism with an engineering plastic housing that operates using a vertical camshaft architecture driven by a torque-controlled synchronous motor. The motor’s motion is transmitted to the locking tongue via the vertical camshaft and drive arm, thereby locking or unlocking the door; the door sensor arm mechanically detects the door’s open/closed position. The same camshaft synchronously triggers microswitches mounted on the PCB, creating four independent contact circuits in a 1+1+1+1 (NO or NC) configuration; thus transmitting the information “lid closed,” “lid open,” “lid locked,” and “lid unlocked” as separate signals to the device’s control board.

Operating at 220–240 V on the motor side and 250 V at 50/60 Hz on the contact side, the ODLS-01 is rated for a 1 A resistive load current and features a micro-break contact opening mechanism. During pyrolytic cleaning, the oven’s internal temperature reaches 400–500 °C, and the process lasts 1–2 hours; the door locking mechanism is specified to keep the lid locked during this time, with a T120 temperature class, a switching life of 6,000 cycles, and an operating regime of 3 seconds ON / 30 minutes OFF. The 175 g housing eliminates the need for additional cables and terminals by integrating the microswitches onto a single PCB; the RAST 2.5-type socket connection provides a fast and repeatable connection on the assembly line.

The ODLS-01, with a T120 temperature class and a rated impulse withstand voltage of 2,500 V, is designed for ovens where the lid is expected to remain locked throughout the entire cleaning cycle. Four independent contact circuits allow the locked status to be verified without relying on a single signal.

The product is designed and tested in accordance with the requirements of EN 60730-1, which covers automatic electric control devices, and EN/IEC 60730-2-12, which defines specific requirements for electrically operated door locks. The PD2 pollution degree, PTI 175 insulation material, and Material Group IIIa values are evaluated in conjunction with the heat and fire criteria required for unsupervised use under EN 60335-1. The IP00 protection class indicates that the product is designed to be mounted as part of a Class I or Class II device; accessibility, mechanical strength, and insulation distances are evaluated on the final device.
