TURN-KEY I 05

I05 is a rotary switch—also known as a program selector switch or selector—that provides multi-step function selection in home appliances, heating and ventilation systems, and industrial equipment.

The I05 rotary switch operates by engaging a different set of contacts at each position of the control shaft, and the selected position remains fixed until the user moves to the next position. The product can be manufactured with 1 to 5 circuits; the number of positions can be customized from 0 to 12 or more, depending on the application’s requirements. This flexibility allows device manufacturers to manage multiple functions separately from a single control point. The pin material is determined by the button and panel design and can be either plastic or metal.

Electrical ratings are defined for two different operating points: 16 A at 250 V and 10 A at 400 V. The corresponding switching lifespans are 10,000 and 30,000 cycles, respectively. The PA66 GF25 housing, rated V0 for flammability, and the T150 temperature class ensure dimensional and electrical stability in devices with high thermal loads where the program selector switch is installed. Connections are made via 6.3 x 0.80 mm tab terminals. The IP00 protection rating indicates that the product offers no protection against the ingress of solid objects or water; installation must be performed inside the device’s own enclosure.

Also known as a switch, the I05 is designed for heavily controlled devices, with a service life of 30,000 cycles under 400 V / 10 A conditions and the ability to withstand ambient temperatures up to 150 °C.

The product is designed and tested in accordance with the requirements of the EN 61058-1 standard, which covers switches used in household and similar appliances. The 850 °C glowing wire test (GWIT) demonstrates the insulation material’s resistance to ignition at the connection point, while the T150 classification indicates its ability to operate at ambient temperatures up to 150 °C. Due to its IP00 protection rating, the rotary switch is intended to be installed inside a closed device enclosure, as specified by the design.
